The latest numbers for electric vehicles in the Netherlands are in, there seems to be a bit of an acceleration this last month, perhaps people have been saving up during the summer holidays? The total number of registered EVs is now at a grand total of 11878. This is based on the RDW vehicle registrations that AgentschapNL collects.
Relative increase (month over month) also went up a bit, I'm assuming this to be due to the quieter period when people are on their summer holidays. Still an average 10% increase is a decent growth rate.
Top 5 of most popular registered electric vehicles in the Netherlands has had some shifts, notably since the arrival of the Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid, but also the Chevy Volt has been making great progress and it overtook the Nissan Leaf.
The Volvo V60, despite being late to this party, is now at a third place in this top 5. It will be interesting to see what the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will do that has met quite the enthusiasm here, perhaps we can see that one pop up in the upcoming months.
